I love this coffee maker. I had the home cafe before this one and the plastic cracked on it. When I received this one I was surprised how Mr. Coffee upgraded many of the features. I especially like how you can use regular ground coffees with this maker. That is real plus if you don’t want to use pods. I also like the option of making two cups at a time. I think you will be pleasantly surprised when you recieve your coffee maker, I was when I got it and it is very well priced for all the features that are included with this model. I can’t say anything bad about this one. I am really happy with it and I know you will be too!

I HAVE PRETTY MUCH EVERY MODERN APPLIANCE & GADGET A KITCHEN PRINCESS COULD EVER ASK FOR. MY ONLY PROBLEM WITH MY PURCHASES IS THAT COLORS CHANGE SO I MAY NOT WANT TO DISPLAY THEM ON THE COUNTER. SUCH WAS THE PROBLEM WITH MY ORIGINAL 10 SPEED OSTERIZER CIRCA 1969, A BRIDAL SHOWER GIFT FROM MY MOM, IT IS AVOCADO GREEN. I WANTED TO SHARE THE COUNTER WITH MY WHITE CUISINART FOOD PROCESSOR, GREEN KITCHENAID MINI PROCESSOR, GREEN KITCHEAID STAND MIXER, & WHITE MR. COFFEE——BUT NOT AVOCADO!!! THE SCARRY PART IS, THAT ORIGINAL IS STILL WORKING TO THIS DAY, 36 YRS. LATER, & STILL CRUSHES ICE TO BOOT! IT STOPPED ON ME LAST YEAR & AFTER I CHECKED IT OUT, IT WAS JUST A LITTLE BUILT UP STICKYNESS IN THE BASE. CLEANED IT OUT —– GOOD TO GO! Customer Review: Great Coffee
I purchased the Javastudio coffeemaker as a replacement for a Mr. Coffee and I have been very pleased with the coffee it makes. There has been no change in the amount of coffee needed to brew the same amount of brewed coffee as with the Mr. Coffee. I always prewarm the carafe with hot water and use a separate pitcher to fill the coffeemaker. I have used the coffeemaker daily for a couple of weeks and have never had any problems with the temperature, quantity, or quality of the coffee. (I also roast my own beans for the freshest coffee possible.)
Customer Review: Too Cool Cuppa
I gave it a star because a) I have to in order to review it, and b) it’s pretty. I have this coffee maker, or should I say coffee GLUTTON, in red. I refer to it as the glutton because it takes twice as much grounds to make half as much coffee! I have to actually fill the ENTIRE basket with coffee grounds in order for the brown water to have any coffee-ish flavor!
What a waste.
Also, when you fill the reservoir for ten cups of coffee, you get about 4 regular size cups of TEPID coffee. Tepid may be too harsh, but if you like coffee straight, as I do, you can drink it immediately after brewing. But, if you like creamer, as my husband does, you wind up with luke warm caf au lait.
While complaining about this to my mother, she suggested the water may not be hot enough to draw the coffee from the grounds. SHE WAS RIGHT! I microwave a cup of water to a boil and add half the grounds (what I would use in any other coffee maker), and allow it to steep, like I do in my french press. After 3 minutes, I stir and pour it into the basket, shut the lid, fill the tank to “9 cups” and brew as usual. The result: A normal cuppa! Now, the problem with the warmth of the brewed coffee is still unsolved, but this extra step allows for a well-flavored cup of java.
The machine has lovely features and alerts you at time intervals to let you know how long your brew has sat, but it doesn’t matter, because by the first beep–30 minutes, your coffee needs a jolt of microwave radiation!

This coffee maker replaced another Mr.Coffee. The function of the machine is fine, and it makes good tasting coffee. The base of the unit does get very hot to the touch when in operation. We have it placed on a trivit to protect the laminate countertop.
Customer Review: Water, Water Everywhere!
Bought this one four months ago. It’s got great looks, but then using it is where the fun begins. An excessive amount of condensation leaks out of the right front filter basket where it meets the top and drips water all over the counter. You cannot pour a cup of coffee without dribbling it unless you hold the carafe top up high enough so it does not touch the coffee when pouring. The warming plate became rusted after 2 months of use… Mr. Coffee sent us a new one. Same design flaw and problems. If you want a red coffee maker and it has to be this brand, go with the other model that is more round. We have one at the office and it works fine!

Customer Review: Just quit working
I wanted a new coffee maker because I was having a major kitchen remodel done. My coffee maker is always within view on the counter and I thought the design on this one was nice. After reading some reviews on this Mr. Coffee I bought it. Remodeling was done and I put my coffe maker to work, it was great..for a SHORT time. Within 2 months the thing just QUIT. Couldn’t get it to work again at all. By that time I no longer had the receipt and so I was out of luck. I will not buy a Mr. Coffee again. I would expect a new coffee maker to work at least 6 months!
Customer Review: This Machine is a Cofee-holic’s Dream!
My husband and I drink alot of coffee. When I first saw this coffee maker in the store, I immediately fell in love with all the “bells and whistles” this machine has. The 4-hour warmer was the one that sold me immediately. I checked on Amazon to see all the reviews and decided to give it a try. The only issues we have had are 1) the basket sliding out if you pick the pot up at an angle, which I read in previous reviews. Easy fix though, I put my thumb up to catch the basket if is starts to slide. 2) Is steam condensation on the outside of the machine around the basket area. I removed the water filter assembly on the basket and that seemed to lessen it some. Believe me, these minor issues are well worth it. Hot coffee that stays warm for 4 hours (and you can adjust the warmth), it lets you know when the warmer is turning off, it alerts you when the coffee is done brewing (great feature when you use the program timer!), lets you know when it needs to be cleaned and a night light to boot! This is absolutely the best coffee maker I have had!

Customer Review: Cuisinart DCC-1200, fairly typical for Cuisinart
Our Cuisinart DCC-1200 lasted less that 2 years. Like many Cuisinart products, it’s pretty badly underdesigned. The water load is very narrow and back right–tough for lefties and easy to spill over even for righties. The parts are expensive–especially that charcoal filter you have to replace every 2 months. Don’t try brewing without it–even with the filter in place, ONE piece of coffee grounds in the heating plenum below the water tank and you might as well throw it all away. The assembly is done with rivets instead of screws so there is no way to get at the lower plenum to clean it properly–again, fairly typical Cuisinart planned obsolesence design. It’s a French hunk of junk if you ask me. My $20 Mr Coffee brewed great coffee for almost 10 years before it died. I’ll not buy Cuisinart again.
Customer Review: Leaks water all over the counter
I have had this product for about a year. About 6 months ago it started leaking water out of the bottom of the coffee maker. My wife loves the way it looks. It makes excellent coffee. I especially like the adjustable temperature control on the burner. However, I would not recommend buying this machine because of the water leaking problem.

Customer Review: Little Bugger
I’ve had mine for over 3 years now and this little bugger still works like a champ. Having a timer set to brew coffee before I get up in the morning is ideal and it smells soooo good when I wake up. This is my third Mr. Coffee brewing machine and is my favorite so far because of size and ease of use. I bought mine at Wally for $15, but I’d have paid $25. It’s just that good!
Customer Review: Perfect for “Coffee for One”
I’ve just got the Mr. Coffee NLX5 coffee maker and I couldn’t be happier. We wanted a small coffee maker for home and this one delivers. It has a very small footprint so it doesn’t take up much counter space, it has not leaked a drop which is also good, and it makes pretty good coffee. (I use a heaping 2 tablespoon scoop for four cups.) I chose the black color so it doesn’t show the stains. The unit has a removable filter basket so I don’t spill grounds when emptying which is handy. The clock is a great feature and the timer makes it easy to have a fresh cup waiting on the way out the door in the morning. The output when I make a full pot fills a 12 oz coffee cup about twice which I find is about the right amount of coffee for me.
