Not only does this make a great cup of coffee and fast, but it is also eco-friendly. It isn’t using a lot of electricity plus it’s made of porceline so there is no plastic or metalic taste to my coffee. It also looks very nice on my counter top and takes up less room than a conventional coffee maker.

I was brought up on Melitta drip coffee makers and that’s all I’ve used so you might say I have more than 65 years of experience with these. We used to take them on vacations because the coffee we made so far out-distanced other available percolated or coffee-maker generated coffee. My only disappointment is that the purveyor of these for Amazon charges much more money for the set than does the Melitta site on the Internet. How did that happen? So far I’ve always found Amazon to have the best prices for everything I purchased online.

I love this coffee maker. I had the home cafe before this one and the plastic cracked on it. When I received this one I was surprised how Mr. Coffee upgraded many of the features. I especially like how you can use regular ground coffees with this maker. That is real plus if you don’t want to use pods. I also like the option of making two cups at a time. I think you will be pleasantly surprised when you recieve your coffee maker, I was when I got it and it is very well priced for all the features that are included with this model. I can’t say anything bad about this one. I am really happy with it and I know you will be too!

This coffee maker is poorly designed and the carafe drips, no pours down the front of the carafe when attempting to pour a cup of coffee. The base is top heavy and when filled with water is prone to tipping over. Be prepared to sop up coffee off your table top whenever you pour a cup.

Customer Review: Piece of Junk
I should have listened to some other reviewers. I wanted a replacement for my ever-leaking Zarafina. This isn’t it. It is a cheaply made percolator with a bell and a whistle. The only adjustment you can make is the amount of tea you place in the basket and with full leaf tea it is almost impossible to determine. Don’t waste your money.

Mr. Coffee Iced Tea Maker - TM1S Customer Review: Made to fail
My wife and I drink a lot of iced tea. We had 2 of the larger Mr. Coffee Iced Tea makers, and decided to try this 1. The 3 quart pitchers kept cracking at the spout from the heat of the brewed tea. This looked like a different design. #1 BAD IDEA, Sunbeam to not make it dishwasher safe! We didn’t put it in dishwasher, and it is stained from the tea to prove it. #2 The seals in the bottom of the basket have already split and fell off, so now the tea does not brew properly. I’m switching to another brand.

The manual clearly states this is NOT Dishwasher safe. A heads up for those who wish to ignore the warning, I put it in the dishwasher, and the plastic jug warped. It does work as advertised though. I just didn’t feel like washing it by hand one time and I paid for my mistake. I would give it a higher ranking if it was dishwasher safe.
