Mr. Coffee Iced Tea Maker - TM1S Customer Review: Made to fail
My wife and I drink a lot of iced tea. We had 2 of the larger Mr. Coffee Iced Tea makers, and decided to try this 1. The 3 quart pitchers kept cracking at the spout from the heat of the brewed tea. This looked like a different design. #1 BAD IDEA, Sunbeam to not make it dishwasher safe! We didn’t put it in dishwasher, and it is stained from the tea to prove it. #2 The seals in the bottom of the basket have already split and fell off, so now the tea does not brew properly. I’m switching to another brand.
Customer Review: NOT Dishwasher safe!!!
The manual clearly states this is NOT Dishwasher safe. A heads up for those who wish to ignore the warning, I put it in the dishwasher, and the plastic jug warped. It does work as advertised though. I just didn’t feel like washing it by hand one time and I paid for my mistake. I would give it a higher ranking if it was dishwasher safe.
