The sound from this unit is more than I could have hoped for. As of yet I’m not using the rear speakers because of the location but when we replace the carpet we are going for the full 7.1 sound. I’m more than happy with this equipment.

I ordered the Samsung HT-AS720 on October 11, my credit card was charged on October 13, and it arrived on October 17. I spent several hours on the 18th setting it up, running wires to the speakers and connecting it to my HD cable box, Bluray player and HD TV. The AV receiver was dead as soon as I tried to turn it on, just like a previous poster on this board stated. I called Amazon and they are sending me a replacement but it will not arrive until Nov. 20-Dec. 9. So, I am charged for the system two months before I have a working unit (and that’s assuming the replacement works!!)

Polar A5 Heart Rate Monitor Offering a step up in features from the A3, the Polar A5 heart rate monitor adds a number of valuable feedback features to help you set-up and monitor your exercise program, including a self walk test and a calorie counter. You can use the A5 monitor to conveniently view your heart rate while walking, swimming, cross-country skiing, or any other exercise without disturbing your exercise rhythm. It comes with the A5 wrist unit (which resembles a watch), a transmitter that’s worn comfortably around your chest, and an elastic strap to hold the transmitter in place.

Start using the A5 with the built-in self walk test, which measures aerobic/cardiovascular fitness with a brisk 1.24-mile (2-kilometer) walk on a hard, even surface. The result of the test, the WalkIndex, predicts a person’s maximal oxygen uptake (VO2max). The OwnCal feature shows your energy expenditure during one exercise session as well as your accumulated kilocalories during several exercise sessions. It also allows you to set daily and weekly exercise goals in terms of calorie expenditure.

The A5’s visible and audible Zone Pointer feature on the monitor’s display shows your target heart rate zone and where your current heart rate is within that zone. The Time in Target Zone feature calculates the amount of total exercise time spent in your personal target zone. First off, I want to say this HRM has been with me for a few years, and has rarely let me down. If you want to see your heart rate the Polar A5 does it.

Customer Review: Exactly what I needed
I have a Canon 5D with a 16-35L II lens (which is close to the length of a standard 200mm zoom) and this case fits perfectly. It’s definitely a very tight fit but that’s what I was hoping for. I bought this case to keep my camera safe on hiking trips. There is a little sleeve pocket on the back and a little compartment on the top. You can probably stuff 2-6 flash cards in the top compartment and some lens cleaning supplies in the sleeve. If you like to carry lots of accessories then look elsewhere but if you are looking for a minimalist solution (especially for backpacking) then buy with confidence.
Customer Review: Great for SLR+lens
This case does what it’s intended for very well. It’s light, compact and holds my Nikon D80 and attached 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 VR lens. The build quality is excellent and the lining and padding are very nice. If you just want to carry an SLR and a large zoom lens, this is the bag for you. The price is hard to beat.

Years ago a friend of mine showed me how to make the best tasting coffee. He took a plain piece of paper towel from a kitchen roll and laid it on the top of a regular coffee mug. He put a couple of spoonfuls of ordinary ground coffee in the towel and slowly poured hot water over the coffee until the mug was full. It was a delicate and somewhat messy operation, but it was the best coffee I ever tasted. The Chemex coffee maker achieves the same results in a more organized fashion with far superior paper filters that were specifically designed for drip brewed coffee. This is the easiest and best way to make coffe by far. The Costa Ricans use a similar method and that speaks for itself.
